What is better, wearing a dress vs pants?
Lets look at some pros and cons of pants and dresses. In a girl’s life, there are several occasions which call for choosing between a dress and a pair of pants and one of the ways that could reduce confusion entails cultivating a deeper understanding of what each of the attires convey.
The differences between the two are obvious. The nature of the occasion plays an instrumental role in determining whether you should opt for a dress or pants.
Pants or dress for a job interview?
If it is a job interview that you are scheduled to attend, then (depending on where in the world you are and your occupation) you should be aiming for a dress or business style pants to wear.
Given the serious atmosphere that interviews and such occasions are often associated with, the dress which you select should (usually) be conservative, extend till your knees and not reveal too much skin in terms of neckline and sleeves. Pastel colors or formal colors work well for such occasions and implementing these points while preparing will enable you to create a good first impression.
Generally at work, your choice will be guided by attire required, any uniforms, co-worker choices and your personal style.
The prom
When it comes to choosing an outfit for a prom, the rules are somewhat different. A pair of pants could definitely come in handy although traditionally proms are supposed to be attended in a dress. A glamorous one at that.
In the case you are not comfortable in a dress and your college rules do not issue specific instructions as regards the dress-code, pants might as well prove to be the answer. On being combined with a well-chosen top, they will not just grant you freedom of movement but enable you to enjoy without feeling too self-conscious.
Formal evenings, graduation
Formal evenings and graduation ceremonies calls for a dress, and one that you love. Usually, girls choose a dress which is not too fluffed-up but at the same time is formal enough to look suitable for the event and possible party that follows afterwards.

Formal evenings, graduation, prom I would say definitely dresses. Occasions like this does not normally come along very often (unless you are a high profile person 🙂 ). During these occasions you need to look your best. Not that you can’t look good with pants on, but seeing that it’s something special you need to wear something special.
