How many people can successfully transform a heritage site into a calm and soothing spot? Not many but Japanese chef Tetsuya is one of the few who accomplished this difficult feat by establishing a gastronome’s den at a historical spot and enveloping it within typical Japanese garden. For a person who desperately needs a break from Sydney’s vibrant lifestyle, spending a quiet afternoon at any one of the three dining areas would be a welcome change.
