Zagreb is capital and largest city in Croatia. It’s located along Sava river and souther slopes of the Medvednica mountain. Zagreb with it’s wider metropolitan area has around 1.1 million inhabitants, which makes it only city with population over million. In Zagreb you can find central government, administrative bodies, and almost all government ministries.
On the other side we have another Croatian city, Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik is town in region of Dalmatia, and it’s one of most popular tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. Dubrovnik joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1979. It is also among 10 best kept medieval walled cities in the world. In 1991 Dubrovnik was besieged by Yugoslav Army and suffered significant damage from shelling.
