Roger Federer is a Swiss professional tennis player, considered by many as one of the best players that have ever played this game. He has been ranked top 10 on ATP list ever since 2002. He holds many singles ATP records including holding the No. 1 position for 302 weeks up until now, winning 17 Grand Slam titles, reaching each Grand Slam final at least 5 times among many others. He is all-court, all-round player known for his fluid style of play, speed and incredible shot making.
On the other side we have Rafael Nadal, Spanish professional tennis player, nicknamed the “The King of Clay”. He has won 14 Grand Slam titles and 15 ATP World Tour 500 tournaments. Nadal was also a member of the winning Spain Davis Cup team in 2004, 2008, 2009 and 2011. In 2010, he became the youngest player to win the Career Grand Slam, and second male player in history to complete singles Career Golden Slam. Nadal generally plays aggressive, behind the baseline game, founded on heavy topspin groundstrokes, consistency, fast footwork and tenacious court coverage.
The two have had many memorable, historic matches, with Nadal holding the upper hand in head to head stats. One such match, the 2008 Wimbledon final, an epic, tight 5 set thriller is regarded as one of the best finals of all time, with unprecedented TV coverage in London and across the world.
