Perth is largest and capital city of Western Australia. City’s central business district and port are located on shores of the Swan River. After World War II Perth was destination of many European immigrants, mostly from Britain, Italy and Greece, which led to population growth. When American astronaut Gleen passed overhead while orbiting the earth in 1962, Perth’s residents lit their house lights, and Perth became known as the “City of Light”.
On the other side we have, capital city of Northey Territory, Darwin. It’s located at Timor Sea, and with its population around 136 thousands people, it’s largest city in Northern Territory. It’s location on north of Australia makes it important gateway to countries such as Indonesia and East Timor. Whole Top End, including Darwin, has a tropical climate, with wet and dry season. Darwin is known for it’s hot climate, which lasts whole year.
