This chain of retail stores was opened by Bernard Kroger in 1883 in Cincinnati. Albertsons

This grocery chain has been founded by Joe Albertson in 1939 in Idaho. It has been widely recognized as one of the finest food stores in the country. It is also popular for some of its policies such as free parking facilities and its ice cream shops.

Albertsons, under its ownership of Cerberus Capital, has taken over Safeway stores in many parts of the country. This will lead to an elevation in the shopping experience at Albertsons stores.
