Brisbane is capital city of Queensland, Australia. It is also the city with the largest population in the state and third largest in Australia. The metropolitan area of Brisbane extends along the floodplain of Brisbane river valley, between the Great Dividing Range and Moreton Bay. The city of Brisbane a played key role in Allied campaign in World War II as the headquarters of General Douglas MacArthur.
