Backpacker vs Motel accommodation:
Suppose you are on a driving holiday wherein you might be zipping from east coast to west coast or vice versa, accommodation is an issue which is likely to crop up on an every-day basis. Options that readily come to mind in this regard are those of backpacking versus checking into a motel and that is why it is essential to understand the difference between them so as to be able to choose correctly.
Motels, or motor hotels, are usually found along highways and in addition to accommodation also offer parking space for your vehicle. This is the cheapest form of accommodation but it also translates into sacrificing your own space.
Putting up a tent for the night does sound adventurous but you would need to ensure compliance with certain rules for your stay to be memorable. Having an experienced fellow camper is always a better idea as also familiarity with the set-up and everything that it entails.
